Tree Stump Removal & Grinding
Make That Unsightly Stump Disappear — For Good
- Grind below ground level — ready for grass
- No termites, ants, or pest attraction
- Any size stump — small to massive
- Clean up included — no mess left behind
Why Choose Tree Time Elite Tree Care for Stump Grinding
Some people think they can remove a stump themselves. They dig for hours. They try burning it (dangerous). They rent a cheap grinder from a hardware store and struggle with a machine they’ve never used before. Then they give up and call us anyway. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Kevin Lee and his crew use commercial-grade stump grinders that are powerful enough to chew through the toughest hardwoods in minutes, not hours. We know exactly how deep to grind to prevent regrowth and allow for new planting. We also know how to avoid damaging underground utilities, sprinkler lines, or nearby tree roots you want to keep. And unlike DIY attempts that leave a pile of wood chips and a half-destroyed stump, we clean up completely. The hole gets filled with the ground-up wood chips or topsoil — whichever you prefer. Your yard goes back to looking like a yard, not a construction site.
Benefits & What We Do — Stump Removal & Grinding
Tree Time Elite Tree Care provides professional arborist services across Northwest Louisiana. From emergency tree removal to preventive health care, we protect your home, improve your curb appeal, and keep your family safe. Licensed, insured, and backed by 30 years of experience.
What's the difference between stump removal and stump grinding?
Grinding is the most common method — we grind the stump down to below ground level using a powerful machine. Full removal means digging out the entire stump and root ball, which leaves a large hole. Grinding is faster, cheaper, and works for most homeowners.
How deep do you grind the stump?
We typically grind 6 to 12 inches below ground level, depending on your future plans. Going deeper allows for new planting or sod. Shallower is fine if you just want to mow over the spot. Kevin will advise you based on your needs.
Will the stump grow back after grinding?
No. Grinding removes the main stump below ground level, which prevents regrowth. Some roots may send up small shoots temporarily, but without the main stump, they will die off. We can also treat the area if you want extra prevention.
Do you haul away the wood chips?
That’s up to you. We can rake the chips flat so they decompose into the soil, remove them entirely, or leave them for you to use as mulch elsewhere. Just tell us your preference when we quote the job.
Can you grind a stump that's close to my house or fence?
Yes. Our grinders are precise and maneuverable. We can work within inches of structures without causing damage. For very tight spaces, we can adjust our approach or use smaller equipment. Kevin will assess access during your free estimate.
